lj user geniepro is ready to develop gui for freearc. now the question is how it should look and operate. please write your thoughts (russian also ok, and may be even preferable because he knows it better)

IMHO, самое ценное в GUI это возможность встроить его в контекстное меню проводника Windows. При этом понадобятся формочки настроек алгоритмов сжатия. Остальные фишки обычно не нужны. В таком виде мне больше нравится 7-Zip.

Yes, right-click integration is the reason why I still prefer rar to 7z even though 7z has sometimes better ratio

I agree with nemoW:
1. Add to archive... (settings done manually)
2. Extract to folder... (settings done manually)
and also
3. Extract to folder {archivename}
(I don't see any sense in "compress and send by e-mail)

EDIT: Even better would be when user himself could choose what to include in context menu. There are 12 possible options in WinRAR

But I have no idea how difficult is to implement customizable context menu...

Интересно, тут без WinAPI вряд ли обойдёшься... Как насчёт совместимости с Linux? Ну ладно, далее видно будет.

Пытаюсь скомпилить исходники ФриАрка - его можно переделать в dll? И насколько это трудно?
Ещё модули на С++ - лучше б их не было, а то компиляция усложняется... но это так, к слову...

of course, right-click integration is OS-specicfic (even if possible in Linux at all)

i don't know anything about development of dll with GHC. well, i know it's possible, although there are some problems with shutting down GHC RTS. if you have questions, i can translate them and ask at cafe

my compile scripts/makefiles compile the whole project, you need only to add c++ compiler and libs to your ghc installation. i've imported the following files:

C:BaseCompilerghcgcc-liblibstdc++.la
C:BaseCompilerghcgcc-liblibsupc++.la
C:BaseCompilerghcgcc-liblibstdc++.a
C:BaseCompilerghcgcc-liblibsupc++.a
C:BaseCompilerghcgcc-libcc1plus.exe

from gcc 3.4.5

Почему GHC6.6 (win32) у меня упорно игнорирует препроцессорные директивы?

Как увидит это - так сразу в истерику впадает...

Utils.hs:37:1: lexical error at character 'f'

Компиляю такой командой:

ghc --make Arc.hs -O3 -fglasgow-exts

Может, ещё какие опции добавить? (Опции из makefile вызывают ошибки ghc: unrecognised flags: -mcpu=pentiumpro -fomit-frame-pointer -fstrict-aliasing)...
