I'm glad to announce that nothwithstanding the flue I had in last days I was able to finish PeaZip 1.6 development, bringing a lot of updates, most of them suggested by users.
In release notes, all info and complete changelog
    http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?relea se_id=499978&group_id=178996

By the way, I updated the frontend for QUAD 1.11, I see that 1.12 was released in the meantime and I'm going to test it but as usual as long as the syntax is not changed it should work without problems (but I'll like to test it throughly before saying it will).
Thank you in advance for any suggestion and feedback!

What about adding in future versions conversion wizard (like in Winrar)? It will be very useful feature...

It is a feature I jet evalued, but I admit I very seldomly used it when it was available on archivers I used.
Anyway, Ill consider about adding it to the projects schedule and Ill keep collecting feature request and comments from users to better understand what other people apart me consider important to have available in an archiver.

On my PC send to item "Quick + Add to separate .7Z" doesn't work.
Error is "-add27zs is no longer accessible"

I apologyze, I introduced a silly bug: in the installer and in the documentation i wrote the commands to send to separate archives as -add2zips and -add27zs while the correct syntax is:
    -add2separatezip and -add2separate7z

I'll update installer package and PeaZip documentation as soon as I can, and document the bug on project's tracker.
The fix, until the update, is editing the links writing the correct parameter (i.e. replace -add27zs with -add2separate7z).

I also tested positively QUAD 1.12 in PeaZip 1.6 so I think in next days, maybe next monday maybe before, I'll release an update (1.6.1) which will fix the issue of "send to separate archives" links and upgrades the QUAD frontend to 1.12.
In those few days I'll also look for other possible users feedback.

BTW, I published some new screenshots including new high resolution icons on Vista.

Damn, the progress is real good. You have again improved an awful lot in a short time in this 1.16 version, Giorgio! I can only make you a big compliment for your excellent work.
Of course there is always something to nag, I don't have time now, will get to some details later.

Thank you very much for the appreciation!
I like PeaZip 1.6, it seem the project is getting quite mature and I think Ill update it as "1.6.*" for a while until some major implementation will make me move to 1.7 denomination.
In previous releases, after few days of feedback from users, I repetitely felt to have missed something worthy, but I had to publish anyway because it was however better than the previous release; now I feel to have published something that reflects what I intended to do and what I (ot the tools I use) was able to do.
Of course, Ill look for users feedback in those firsts days from publishing in order to collect suggestions for 1.6.1, which may be added to aforementioned updates (fix quick links and replace QUAD 1.11 with 1.12).

    Good work!

Suggestion: change time to hh:min:ss (instead of ms) and size to MB or KB (instead of K). I think is more clear to read.

Hi! PeaZip invokes console applications in two way.
In graphic mode you will never see the console window, the process will run in background and send information to gwrap component through pipes.
In console mode instead you will see the console window until the process ends, then the console will close, sometimes too fast to be noticed if the job is quick... to balance this you can turn on "Show information messages" in PeaZips default options to always get confirmation message (and a small job log) after the job in console mode completes; otherwise by default the application will popup only warning- and error- level messages and omit information-level popup.

Moments ago I published on SourceForge up to date Windows installer, documentation and source (with corrected install script) packages, which fixes the quick link parameter issue correcting the syntax in -add2separate7z and add2separatezip.
By the way, I also added legacy_icons package for Windows 9* and 2000 users, with icons not using alpha channels which can be correctly displayed by pre-XP systems.
To replace default icons just copy the new ones in
esicons path in programs folder overwriting default icon files.

The Linux version is reviewed on Softpedia too: http://www.softpedia.com/reviews/lin...ew-51545.shtml

BTW, I'm very glad of that because amongst reviews sites I think Softpedia is one of the best, whith better written reviews and most pervasive testing on reviewed software, so getting a good review on Softpedia is very positive!

Edit: just released icons package for Linux with the four PeaZip icons in RGB + alpha PNG format.
