    Okay, here is the LITE version of the new PIMPLEv2 compression engine! Note that this is the first public version of this engine, secondly, this is just a draft one and, finally, engine works in 'Normal' mode ONLY. Anyway, check it out!

    Total = 11,505,207 bytes

    Compression times were amazingly fast!

    I'm IMPRESSED!!! And this is only the "LITE" version! I would be VERY surprised if the higher compression version doesn't get into Werner's SFC top ten.

    Surely this new engine must beat PPMonstr in this test?

    The fully-featured version was not fully tested - since currently Im improving the basics. Also, this engine in Normal mode must be more efficient in terms of compression time/ratio. In addition, I have a few ideas for future improvements, so this LITE version can be faster and at the same time has higher compression!
    About PPMonstr, I dont exactly know, but the future versions, or even next version, can nail many monster programs.

    It compliments! High velocity and low compression ratio!

    TC 5.2dev1 is in its normal mode as good as pimple in extreme mode with parameters tuned and as a bonus it's 3x faster Very nice one indeed!

    Good news! This engine is further improved! This time I invent a new LZP-like compression scheme. Currently, a Fast version of this engine already written. What I have here:
    It is incomparable faster to TC 5.1dev7 and in most cases provides about the same or slightly worse compression (on large text files new version is even better)
    Of course, new version is also much faster compared to TC 5.2dev1; compression is worse, but comparable.

    Currently, I stuck in the middle with a new hash table. Note that current unreleased version has no hash table, and uses low order CM, that's why this is the Fast version. However, then I finally write a proper hash table – a new monster comes out! (This took more than two years of hardcore working, and finally I'm in one step to the daydream!)

    @encode Maybe you can look into the code of the google-sparsemap to get a alternative impression.

    Best regards

    I hope that Ilia will eventually add this amazing new engine to the PIM archiver.
