    Unhappy Ring 1.5c crash when decompressing.

    Hi,

    I compressed a 700MB .avi file using rings1.5c

    rings.exe c 9 "Silent Hill.avi" "Silent Hill.rings"

    Input : "Silent Hill.avi" (size= 734.560.256 bytes)
    Output : Silent Hill.rings (size= 711.333.898 bytes)

    ... unfortunatelly, when decompressing, rings.exe sometimes crashes.

    It tries to rename the file without leaving the space as you you have written. Being the program [DOS] naturally it assigns to every word a command. I recommend you to rename the file and to retry. Example

    rings c 9 SilentHill.avi SilentHill.rings

    rings d SilentHill.rings SilentHill.avi

    @Nania

    Would it be possible for you to compile a
    LINUX-VERSION of your wonderful program rings ?

    if it is very difficult for version 1.5c
    a linux variant of version 1.3 will be fine too !

    may be this can help you:

    Rings 1.5 for linux or not?

    Truly you I can assicure that in future a new version of rings will released, but what it does not make me to decide it is that I could also insert it in flashzip archiver (of which I will release with version 1,0 also a Linux version)! I soon hope to please all! HI!
