PAQ8PF

[LovePimple]

PAQ8PF is based on PAQ8PX with modifications to make it much faster compressing most files at levels -4 and above. Compression ratio will not be as good as PAQ8PX for most files. I will include the source code with the final release.

YEESS!!! fantastic!!! in a few seconds (also -8 option) a great compression! I hope that you continue to improve this version, because is wonderful!

P.S. This version takes only 1166 with -8 option set, amazing.

Wow! It compresses very fast! I'm amazed (this for sure will be available on PerfectCompress v6.0. I started implementing it!).

I've also notice a small issue with memory requirements reported by PAQs. For example PAQ8px_64 at -6 level reports that 527 716 716 bytes (503 MiB) have been used but according to Process Explorer's Peak Working Set only 450 MiB utilised. Same for -1 level. Reported was 51.5 MiB and actual was 49 MiB.

Thanks for testing, but the enhanced speed of paq8pf is only really available at levels -4 to -8. Levels -0 to -3 will be much the same as paq8px.

I will include paq8pf_alt with future releases as your tests have clearly shown it to be slightly faster on your machine.
