unarc.dll does not support -mex9 archives; the 4x4 memory bug is not fixed in that version - am I right?

I never ripped any games, but I think (from common sense) that you need to use precomp where it helps, then apply srep to the result (in solid mode), then whatever else.

I'm in trouble with Shegorat's InnoSetup script. (V4.0 ext -15-10-2010)
Simply i can not unpack password encrypted archives with this script.
No matter what encryption parameters were used.

In best case ,the "install procedure" runs without error ,but no file(s) extracted.
Non encrypted archives works fine.
Somebody can show me how to define the password and/or what Freearc algorythms can be used with this script ?

i was using the old version innosetup script for arc. version 4.0 good but remain time not correctly show. Remain time only one archive file (example disk1)
example:
#define Archives "{src}\1.arc;DestDir:{app}\;Disk:1"
#define Archives Archives + "|" + "{src}\2.arc;DestDir:{app};Disk:2"
#define Archives Archives + "|" + "{src}\3.arc;DestDir:{app};Disk:3"
#define Archives Archives + "|" + "{src}\4.arc;DestDir:{app};Disk:4"

remain time only show 1.arc not show remain time for all arc files. old version.
the old version did not have such a problem.

Hi, try new beta version of ISFreeArcExtract v.4.1
Main changes:

• Unpacking archives with masks (batch unpacking)
• Possibility to use "not" with components and tasks
• Some small changes

This script only for testing.

I have problem with uncomperss file 5GB. unarc.dll and unarc.exe not work properly, but arc.exe compersss and uncompress ok.
I need uncompress big file in inno setup from archive when install program on Windows.
I test ISFreeArcExtract v.4.0 and ISFreeArcExtract v.4.1e using facompress.dll from FreeArc0.666 but not work.
Can You help me?

what's ypur compression option? you should compress in Maximum/Ultra (-mx) mode, or use unarc from 0.67. since 0.666's unarc had problem extracting archives compressed in lower modes

I use option -m4 to compress. I test unarc 0.67 and work good, decompress my file.
When test unarc 0.67 I observe that when list file in archive show size file good. When extract file size is mistake, but decompress file good.

This is example:

Why does the setup.exe remove itself from HDD when it has crashed or aborted while unpacking freearc archive? (It automatically closes finish page before)
I use inno 5.4.2 and FA 0.67.

it happens not everytime

problem solved by rolling back to 5.3.8

i testing ISFreeArcExtract v.4.1 script (http://tr.rghost.net/users/shegorat)
my problem: No problem for 1-2 minutes then can not display the remaing time (remaing time: -71582 etc.)
(After a certain period of time no problem next time the problem continues.)



There was no problem with the old version 4.0.

hi everyone!
i have one question about FreeArc.
have some files with 6.54 GB volume! and after compression and converting to sfx, i'ts goes to be 5.12 GB!
but when i want to run that file (after compression) This error showed up: xxx.exe it's not valid win32 application.

why??
i dont think did anything wrong!

I think Windows is not able to launch execuatables over 4 gb. So atm a single exe packed with FA bigger than 4gb is not possible.
