    Question French Reggae

Does anyone know any band that sings Reggae on French? Just need this music for new theatre performance. Any band names/points/web links?
Looks like it?s not trivial task to find exactly what I need ? slightly with hooligan mood, high quality recording, on pure French language. Just imagine a comedy performance, French comedy (French author), an actor with dreads on stage?
A quite French topic ? this performance even features one French actor?

I'm not really a reggae fan, but these are quite famous in France :
    - Raggasonic (more ragga than reggae, maybe it's what you mean by "hooligan mood")
    - Massilia Sound System (but sometimes they sing in "Occitant", a dialect from the south of France, not widely spoken)

By the way, since I love dub, there are great french dub bands, like Kaly Live Dub, High Tone... but there is no vocals there

    Smile

OK, thank you very much for reply!

Searched thru YouTube - found interesting songs by listed groups.

Hooligan mood - it's about legalize - like completeley sick ganja crew sings about marihuana legalization. Not sure about we may use such extreme music with "l?galise la ganja" at stage but I think it's a right direction. For me it's funny, since we talking about comedy...

About Ragga - I showed a few Ragga-like tracks to stage director - he says that it can be, but better to use "pure" Reggae.

    Monophonic Ringtone "La Marseillaise"

Does anyone know how to get monophonic ringtone "La Marseillaise"? A la beeper from an old mobile phone. Much like the phone of French patriot ringing...

Maybe such thing available as an MP3? Or such generator/emulator exists?

You can get some at http://www.fan-de-foot.org/sonneries...ophoniques.php

But you might prefer tuning a midi version like http://www.robynet.psi.br/~geraldom/la_marseillaise.mid (select main track, change instrument...) with a program like Anvil Studio (freeware) (http://www.anvilstudio.com/)

BTW, I doubt there are many French people (except sport supporters) patriotic enough to have "La Marseillaise" as ringtone

By the way, the performance "Bonjour and good bye!" is very successfully launched at my theatre:
