    USB 4

USB 4.0 has been out for over a year now, but I still use only 2.0 or 3.0 as needed with devices: https://www.techradar.com/news/usb4-...u-need-to-know

Considering the speed differences now and advances with faster and more efficient uses of hardware cache, do you feel that USB4 or USB 5 will ever replace SATA controllers and interfaces on motherboards?

    There is this: https://www.quora.com/When-will-USB-...ansfer-rate-be

But I don't think it could directly replace SATA, since SATA has some out-of-order features.

  3. Thanks:
