    Command line picture editor

    I'm looking for a command line tool that can do the following on some BMP files.

    - Slight blur
    - scale to 50% on each dimension


    I have a bunch of pictures im scanning in 600dpi. giving them aslgiht blur and rescaling to half size is much better quality then just scanning 300dpi
    but its to many to sit and do it manually on each

    If the command line requirement comes only from the need for processing multiple files at once, you could also have a look at IrfanView that has a great batch processing menu that also allows to resize and do all kinds of adjustments like blur. See this screenshot:

    Xnview has similar capabilities and was made as seperate program through XnConvert
