There's http://packjpg.encode.su/, I'm not sure if it could/should be moved, it hasn't been updated the last years anyway, but the PackJPG Github repository links to it.

Damn kids. They're all alike.
ok, I'd try to backup it too.
encode.ru has either 3 days (if my money transfer fails), or a month (unless somebody can pay 73 EUR per month to keep it going).
Also please test https://encode.su and report forum bugs.
webmaster's server is on windows and new one has linux - everything is very different so there're problems on that side too.

fixed?

http://ctxmodel.net.encode.su/ needs backup too.
Downloaded packjpg.encode.ru (apparently it uses wordpress?) and page.encode.ru
ctxmodel fortunately exists on its own site.
Why? .su is the old Soviet Union TLD.
Let's think of it as SU = SUper. Next year we will try to bring back the ENCODE.RU or something like ENCODE.ORG/.NET etc.

Its actually not that easy to find unclaimed encode.* domain, some exist, but either look worse, or are too expensive.
Also both the new and old domains kinda look like japanese transliteration of english words
(its impossible to write individual letters with hiragana, so "encoder" could be written as "encoderu" (エンコーデる)) -
I think that's where we're getting japanese users sometimes.
Just in case I'd explain what's happening with the forum again:
webmaster (who had been hosting encode.ru since 2010) disappeared in April,
so we had downtime in May because domain name expired.
Unfortunately webmaster was/is very security-minded so he didn't share
his registrar or hosting accounts with us (his server also is windows-based, so its hard to give limited access).
Then, around July 15, the hosting was shut down too, with 150 euro of debt (two months).
I found a way to fix that for now, but unless there's somebody willing to pay 73 euro per month to keep things as is,
webmaster's server would stop working again in a month or so.
There was an idea to somehow gain access to webmaster's accounts, but he tends to use unique passwords like sw574ZZPTM5QEmHj for everything.
If there're any other ideas about how to keep things working as is, I'm listening.

Thank you, Shelwien.
Everything I've noticed so far is functional on the new TLD.
There are potentially a lot of things which still don't work and I haven't noticed, but so far, from my perspective, the transition has been seamless. (I'm not counting the very recent time during which encode.ru was unavailable)
Edit: It might be a good idea to tell certain people who can be contacted about the TLD change so they can post updates to their software/etc. when they next have a chance to try to login. Examples: Christian, Matt Mahoney, and others who have been active in the past on encode.ru who are currently active only infrequently and might not know about the change from .ru to .su when they next try to access the domain name.
Of course, as long as encode.ru is pointing toward or redirecting to encode.su, there won't be a problem for those users, meaning there's no reason to send notifications.

After logging in to encode.suInvalid Redirect URL (http://encode.su/)
E-mail notifications are working! It was broken for me in the old domain.
webmaster used his own mailserver, maybe it was banned due to spam paranoia.
Also I had to update the forum software (VB4 4.2.2->4.2.5), because 4.2.2 didn't work with PHP 5.6,
so that feature could be simply broken there - at least I know that search by username in admincp was broken :)

Can you explain how to reproduce it?
I tried logging out and back in (in chrome) and there was no error.

Deleted it for now.

Emails used to work way back before, but then I didn't got replies to topics I'm subscribed, like the paq8px thread. I also never got them in spam. But now everything is workingIt's easier for me to see emails and go here when a new reply is posted.
Some of my posts (only one is preserved here excluding this) and also posts from other members (Shelwien, encode...) got deleted - I won´t see them here nor at member´s posts. Can it be retrieved back?
Thanks.
Some posts on encode.su were lost during DB update to the recent snapshot.
Encode.ru is still online, so I can disable the redirect for a time, if necessary.
It´s possible to join snapshots (i.e. all posts from encode.ru that´s missing here) into encode.su? By "here" I doesn´t mean this thread, but general.
Icons for attached ZIP files are different - looks like winzip rather than winrar.
There shouldn't be anything important missing. I copied the DB snapshot after this thread was posted.
And its hard to merge anything at this point - I had to upgrade the forum version for encode.su, and there're new posts so I can't copy and upgrade the forum again.
1)I mean if it´s possible to extract forum posts from old backup and insert it into corresponding lines in the new.
2)Manage Attachment button does not working at all.
1) I still have access to old forum, so in theory its possible.
But in practice I won't do it, because its too much work.
So if you really lost something important, I can remove redirect from old forum for you to copy your missing posts.
2) I just tested and it works - opens a small popup window.
Maybe your browser blocks popups or something.

I let encode.pw and compression.pw expire recently. I bought them a while and thought you might need the encode one. They're probably still locked up by Namecheap during their grace period or something, but you can have them if you want them – right now I'd just have to renew them myself, which will cost ten bucks each.
I don't know if pw is an improvement. That's up to you. pw is the TLD that stands for Professional Web, though it's also Palau's country TLD for some reason.
Compression.wiki is also available. I let that one expire a long time ago. It costs $8.88 at Namecheap.
I'd keep that in mind, but for now .su should work, and then we'd try to recover .ru and its not free, so I don't see a point in claiming the whole encode.*
As to wiki, I have one here but apparently it needs better hosting for advanced features, and nobody wants to work on it anyway.
@Shelwien,
As for the hosting, you said that there was 70 € of debt per month and it´s too costly. But how hosting is managed here? Domain belongs to you, but what about hosting?
