JPEG invites to Grand Image Compression Challenge at ICIP 2016

Hi folks,

the JPEG committee invites to an image compression challenge at ICIP 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of this challenge is to collect fresh ideas on image compression, and to have an objective side-by-side comparison of the results.

Submissions should be made through the ICIP conference web page, indicating your interest to participate in the challenge. Results will be published as regular papers through IEEE.

Would be great to see some contributions from this very forum there!
