    Strongest Compression with Fastest/Simplest Decompressor?

    Hey everyone,

What is the strongest compression program taht has the simplest (fastest + least memory) decompressor available? It seems like LZX (Cabarc) is the best still. Is this true? I like the idea of Ilya's optimized LZSS compressor. With the "cx" command, the most powerful compression is used while still keeping the fast and simple decompressor--that is what I'm looking for.

Any ideas? Is LZX still the best for these requirements?

Probably any modification of LZH (LZX is one) with optimal parsing.

Right, that's kind of what I was thinking...What modified LZH with optimal parsing would meet my requirements?

As I said compression time is not important. If it takes 1 hour to compress 10 MB but achieves great compression and retains extremely simple/fast + very low-memory decompression, that is ok with me.

    Thanks.
