I'm trying to detect compression in small file fragments (about 4KB and may be from any section of the file i.e. no headers)
I've managed to detect uncompressed data in fragment of a compressed file by checking for block header (BFINAL 0 0r 1, BTYPE 00) and then checking that the next four bytes complied with RFC 1951 - LEN and NLEN being ones complements.
Is there any way that I can use similar ideas to check for block types 01 and 10 - fixed and dynamic Huffman code?
