    Reference of compression format

    Hello everyone,

I've maintained the reference of (universal) data-compression format.
I found more than 550 compression format and made a database of the implemented feature, the algorithm and so on.
(However, there are no information about efficiency or benchmark of the format.)
You can discover many unfamilier compression format in this website.
    http://tpi.sourceforge.jp/index.php/Dict
(sorry, this page is a bit heavy)

I also maintain the update information of compressor.

I think there are a lot of incorrect information. If you find the incorrection, please tell me
(I'm not a specialist of compression algorithm but just a freak.)

I'm very glad to be utilized these information usefully.
    Thanks.

Thanks for your job. Good reference!

Some are missing seems, like a format made by Yamazaki Satoshi -- yz1 and yz2.

    Interesting, thanks.
I clicked on a couple of links and a large part of them appears to be dead. The ones I noticed:

Sorry, some pages beginning with W,X,Y,Z would not be shown. I'll fix it later.
You can see the pages which are not shown from this URL:

    Yes, I know.
In each article, there is a link to a page archived by Internet Archive if I found the archived page.
(This is a bit inconvinient. I'll fix them gradually.)
