Some good news!

The encode.su project will live at least two years more (till April 2010).

Every single year this project gains popularity, every single year forum welcomes new members, new famous members from data compression community!

Today, personally I have a small amount of spare time, maybe in close future you'll never see huge projects made by me, however, I have plans and new ideas. For example, I have an idea to define BALZ compressor as my flagship data compression technology. Adding various parsing strategies like fast Lazy Matching (including my famous Lazy Matching with two bytes lookahead) will move the shadow - since the compression became reasonably fast. The max mode will kept for benchmarkers and crazy data compression maniacs as I am.

I hope you continue to keep it going; I know of no other compression programming forum out there. I hope one day to publish my record-setting code for low-resource processors here some day...
